Hello, my name is Kym Anderson and I am the sole proprietor and founder of Making Baths a Blast bath, soap and skincare products. I began this journey 6 years ago due to my addiction of bath bombs. I was spending an outrageous amount on them monthly and I thought to myself, "There has to be a way I can make these myself and save me some money." After lots of research and a tremendous amount of time trying different formulations, I finally had one that was of great quality, up to my standards and much better than what I was spending a fortune on. It was then that I wanted to make my creations available to the public for others to enjoy. I like to know what I'm introducing onto/into my body so I started paying attention to the ingredients of every single bath and skincare product that I purchased and I wasn't liking what I was seeing. There are so many chemicals and nasty stuff in these commercial brands that are just not good.
Over a period of time I took some online cosmetic formulation classes and learned how to formulate my own skincare. I began making my own products and I have not bought commercial since. My first successful formulation was 5 1/2 years ago when I created my all natural deodorant which I have been using ever since and things just took off from there. I love chemistry and what I do, and I love making my quality products available for others to try.
All of my products are paraben, phthalate and formaldehyde free, and my target customers are not vegan, as I use local grass fed beef tallow (I render the suet myself) in all of my soap and skincare products. I'm more than happy to formulate for those needing a vegan version of anything I create. The organ suet (rendered to tallow), goat milk and honey I use in my soaps (and skincare where applicable) are all locally sourced. ❤😘🌻🛀🥂
